Asus announced the launch of the Zenfone 7 series on August 26. Few official details have been revealed about the devices, but insider Roland Quandt, from the German website WinFuture,has already leaked some preliminary specifications of the device that is launching soon.
According to the Quandt, ZenFone 7 will come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ processor. The chip has 5G support and is faster than the traditional variant, being ideal for running games in high quality. Qualcomm had already confirmed the presence of the 865+ on the phone, but it was not yet known if it would have the Plus variant.
The Zenfone 7 smartphone with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will have an estimated price of 499 euros; and another with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage will cost 549 euros. Both variants will have a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh and a charger with a power of 30 W.

Good news is that the flipping camera, which was highly praised on Zenfone 6,will be back in the new series of smartphones. This information was revealed by the company itself, albeit indirectly. On Twitter, Asus Germany’s official profile posted a teaser of the device with the hashtag #FlipDeineWelt (in English: “Turn your world”), an obvious reference to the flip camera, which can be used for both traditional photos and selfies.
Due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, the Zenfone 7 launch event will be virtual, with live streaming on YouTube. The link of the broadcast is now available, and the event is scheduled to begin at 11:45 am Nepali time next Wednesday on August 26.
